Let’s say you wanted to get into the restaurant business but you had never owned a restaurant. You heard from a buddy that owning a restaurant is easy and you will make a ton of money doing it. You have watched late night TV shows about guys who made tons of money by just simply owning a restaurant without any experience or money. After watching late night shows and listing to your buddy blab on about how easy you can make money in the restaurant business you decide to open a restaurant.
There is only one problem; you don’t have any money or restaurant experience. So you decide to seek out the “Restaurant Guru”. Now with no cash, credit or experience you expect the “Restaurant Guru” to show you all the tips, trick and techniques to owning a restaurant for free.
…And this “Restaurant Guru” is supposed to do all this out of the kindness of his heart, yeah right!
Most new wholesalers fail because they lack a business plan or any plan for that matter. A business plan is like a road map. Yes you can travel without one but you better hope you don’t get lost. In business it’s very easy to get side tracked and lost, especially in the beginning. It is possible to make a lot of money wholesaling but just like any business if you fail to plan then you plan to fail so yea you need a plan. Create a business plan of what you want and how you want to get there.
Second no one and I mean NO ONE is going to give you all their “secrets” and especially not for free and why should they. Is KFC going to give another restaurant owner their secrete spice? Is Coca Cola going to give another drink manufacture their “special formula”? I would say probably not as those companies don’t even give their own employees that information. YOU need to create your own secret formulas and systems.
Third mentors are not there to teach you how to do “the business”. They are there to coach you and fill in knowledge gaps. You are ultimately responsible for your education in any business.
